Tu-134 is a Soviet, short and medium range, passenger airplane built by the Tupolew design bureau. It is an evolution of an earlier airplane — Tu-124.
The first version of the airplane could take 72 passengers and the last version labeled as Tu-134B-3 could take 96 passengers thanks to longer fuselage.
Tupolew Tu-134 proved to be a good solution in its aircraft class and it was eagerly used by the fleets of the members of the Council of Mutual Economic Assistance.
