Stanisława Płonczyńskiego street

Stanisław Płonczyński (1900–1974) — Polish competition, military and transport pilot. He was a successful competition pilot. In 1930 he was a member of the first Polish Team for the International Tourist Plane Competition — Challenge. At the last competition from the Challenge series in 1934, flying in a RWD-9S airplane he placed second together with mechanic Stanisław Zientek, right behind Jerzy Bajan. He was the first Polish pilot to exceed the threshold of 1 million kilometres in Polish transport aviation.
