PZL-130 Orlik is a training propeller airplane used for basic and advanced professional piloting courses. Work on the airplane was conducted at the end of 1970’s and the beginning of 1980’s in PZL Warszawa-Okęcie factory. The airplane was designed by two engineers — Andrzej Frydrychewicz and Tomasz Wolf. The proposed solution in form of a propeller airplane with piloting characteristics similar as in a combat jet airplane was the first of its kind in countries of the Warsaw Pact.
