Obserwatorów (Observers') street

Air observers — personnel supporting aviators during combat flights, trained to watch the field of combat. The School of Air Observers originally opened in Warsaw (1919), it was later moved to Toruń.

The badge of a military observed designed by professor Gruberski showed an eagle holding three thunderbolts in its talons, making a reference to the work of air observers operating spark transmitters.
