Mniszech Palace— garden, first balloon flight with a Pole on board

This late Baroque residence was built in the years 1715–1730 by order of the Grand Marshal of the Crown Józef Wandalin Mniszech. On May 14, 1790 writer and traveler, delegate to the Four-Year Sejm and the author of the Rękopis znaleziony w Saragossie (Manuscript Found in Saragossa), Jan Nepomucen Potocki (1761–1815), took off in a balloon from the gardens adjacent to the Mniszech Palace.
