Jerzego Bukowskiego street
Jerzy Bukowski (1902–1982), graduate of Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanics, Aviation Department, professor of Warsaw University of Technology, aerospace mechanic, designer of propellers, specialist in the area of construction of airplanes and the theory of propellers. He used to deal with the construction of aerodynamic tunnels and propellers. He also worked for the aviation industry. During the German occupation during World War II he cooperated with the Aviation Industry department of the General Command of the Home Army.
Jerzy Bukowski was one of the organizers of the Museum of Technology in Warsaw. He is also the author of a popular textbook titled Mechanika płynów (Fluid mechanics) and many other scientific publications.
